Genders training course in Bucharest!
The first GENDERS training took place in Bucharest from 14 to 19 October 2018. This training activity, which was hosted by e-Romnja at in the Roma Education Found, was based on non-formal education methods, including teambuilding activities, brainstorming, world café sessions, and reflexion groups
Each partner organisation sent 4 participants to the training. These participants included staff members, board members, as well as other highly actively involved volunteers, such as Working Group leaders, coordinators, and members of the Pool of Trainers.
The main objectives of the training were for the participants to learn more about gender-mainstreaming and to share best practices, but also to analyse the features of the web-platform on gender-mainstreaming, to identify weaknesses and difficulties when it comes making gender-mainstreaming a transversal element of youth working, to reflect on gender-related issues and to think of possible solutions. The participants also defined minimum elements of gender-mainstreaming necessary for everyday youth-working activities, and prepared different workshops accordingly.
